How to use AngelHome’s 18-district map to find a helper

AngelHome's service map follows the 18 districts listed by the Home Affairs Department: Central and Western, Wan Chai, Eastern and Southern on Hong Kong Island; Yau Tsim Mong, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon City, Wong Tai Sin and Kwun Tong in Kowloon; and Kwai Tsing, Tsuen Wan, Tuen Mun, Yuen Long, North, Tai Po, Sha Tin, Sai Kung and Islands in the New Territories. The same boundaries appear in official public materials, so you can cross-check where you are.

Use it in three steps. First open your district on the map or list and skim estate and home-visit notes. Second open the estate or street page for the meet-up point and booking slot. Third pick a service — Filipino helper, elderly care — and open the location × service page for notes tied to that address.

Why not one blunt “Island / Kowloon / New Territories” page? Estates inside the same region differ: some meet at the clubhouse, some are walk-ups only. Splitting by district and estate turns those differences into actionable notes rather than slogans.

If your mail address only shows a Kowloon street, still add the district and estate name when you enquire. A street number is enough for parcels but may omit the meet-up point and travel details a visit needs. The map and search both accept district or estate names.

English readers can pair this with the English overview article for categories and contacts; Chinese readers who care about contracts and visas can read the visa-contract and match-before-contract pieces alongside. The map answers where; the other guides answer how to hire and what to verify.

Hong Kong is divided into 18 districts, with each district's District Officer (DO) representing the Government at the district level.
