Filipino vs Indonesian helpers: source, language and budget

Filipino helpers usually communicate better in English and have higher education — good for families wanting English interaction with kids or English household instructions. Indonesian helpers are generally budget-friendly and pick up Cantonese faster; most train in partner schools with basic Cantonese and housework before arrival.
When choosing, ask three things: what is the main language at home — Cantonese, Mandarin or English? Do you need stronger cooking or care experience? What is your budget band? Tell support these three points and we can narrow the match.
Many families interview both Filipino and Indonesian helpers, then decide by the in-person interaction. We suggest confirming menus and taste, care experience, leave and contract term during the interview, and writing them into the record so you are protected after signing.
Whichever source country, visa, contract and insurance requirements are the same; the difference is mainly language, experience and fee. The Labour Department and Immigration Department public guidance help set reasonable expectations.
If you are still unsure, message us on WhatsApp or enquire online — we give concrete advice for your household rather than a generic checklist.
